My son loves them when he just saw them come out of package. He tried to put one onto his foot right away. It was very funny, because he was only 15 month. Whenever we say to him to go out and take a walk, he will go to get this pair of shoes and let you put them for him.

Great rainboot at a good price
Got these for my 4 y.o. son based on the same in yellow and a couple sizes larger for my daughter. He loves them. Wears them all the time here in Oregon's Willamette valley winter. Good color, strong material, soft inner lining (bare feet are fine - even come out easily after wearing without socks).

Since most children's rainboots, raincoats, and snowboots available these days are made in China which has proved over and over again to be unwilling to regulate its vast manufacturing sector much of my decision to buy these boots had to do with the fact that these boots are made in Canada.

These boots ARE made of pvc, however, which is unhealthy to produce and gives off toxic fumes if burned. And, perhaps much more importantly for my son, these boots are most likely softened with phthalates, a possible carcinogen that also disrupts endocrine and liver function in higher exposures.

Given the alternative choices available I can only hope that Kamik on its own, or, if necessary, perhaps through the Canadian government's general regulation of the use of toxins in domestic manufacturing, uses the minimum amount of phthalates (or an alternative softener) in making these boots.

OK, off the soapbox...

The bottom line is these boots have kept my boy dry in the rain, on the beach, and in the snow. They look good, fit accurately, and are comfortable. And they're often cheaper than anything you can buy that's been made in China.

we now walk to the lake everyday!
Our daughter is 9 months old, she is only 16lbs... but I wish I had found the Moby wrap sooner! :) We live about a mile from a large lake, and before she was born, we would walk there at least twice a week, we also do a lot of hiking. We had been using our baby Bjorn, but it was starting to hurt our backs and especially our shoulders, and the padding got lumpy after i washed it. I received my wrap on Friday, I have walked to the lake and back with my daughter in the wrap everyday since... we have tried the Joey and hug positions, and I can feel her weight a little in the Joey one, but on the way home, I turn her around into the hug position, and she falls asleep... and it feels like I'm not even carrying a baby! The weight distribution is great and now I have no excuses to not get out and exercise! :) She seems to love it too! I have two friends who are due in the next three months, and I think I will have to get them their own as baby shower gifts! I heard before i ordered it that it was hard to use, but once i read the wonderful book that comes with it, it was a piece of cake! :)

Baby's favorite
This simple toy is my baby's favorite. He picks it up out of his box of toys over and over again, despite there being many other toys which look more interesting to me. He chooses this one over others that rattle more, vibrate, or having flashing lights or sounds. Who knows why babies like what they do, but mine sure loves this toy.
